A young boy has been arrested after officers allegedly found a 24-inch sword down his trousers.
The 15-year-old was detained at King’s Cross Station this afternoon.
A terrifying photo taken by police on the platform shows how the huge weapon comes up to the officer’s waist.
It appears to have an ornate handle, which suggests it could be an antique sword.
The teenager was taken into custody by officers.
British Transport Police tweeted shortly after 3pm: ‘Officers were called to Kings Cross earlier and removed a 15 year old male off a @GNRailUK service.
‘This was concealed down his trouser leg. Arrested & currently being dealt with in custody.’
London has been rocked by knife crime in recent weeks following the brutal murder of 14-year-old Jayden Moodie in east London.
He was brutally slain in a notorious area of east London known for drug dealing and blighted by so-called county lines gangs that exploit children.
Jayden was knocked off his moped by a black Mercedes B Class on Tuesday in Bickley Road, Leyton, and then stabbed several times by three attackers as he lay unconscious in the road.
