On Christmas Eve Kevin Spacey released a super bizarre video that saw him descend into his former character of Frank Underwood and seemingly address the allegations raised against Spacey of sexual assault.

‘You trusted me even though you knew you shouldn’t. So we’re not done, no matter what anyone says, and I know what you want,’ he said in the weird video. ‘You want me back.’

Now celebrities have responded to the video and frankly, they appeared to have the same response as us mere mortals.

Taking to social media, the likes of Rob Lowe and Patricia Arquette mocked and ridiculed the video as they were joined by over 16k others who commented beneath the clip on Twitter.

Rob Lowe took a more diplomatic tangent, as he called into question the props used in the video, as he wrote: ‘I’m pretty sure there’s nothing in that mug Kevin Spacey drinks out of.’

However, many others slammed the shamed House Of Cards actor, who moments earlier was met with a felony charge in the US for allegedly sexually assaulting the teenage son of former Boston WCVB-TV news anchor Heather Unruh at a Nantucket bar in July 2016.

Previously 59-year-old Spacey had been accused by multiple people of sexual harassment, misconduct and assault since Star Trek actor Anthony Rapp came forward with allegations that Spacey made an unwanted sexual advance against him when he was 14.

Patricia Arquette wrote on Twitter: ‘I’m sure none of the men who were kids at the time of their sexual assaults appreciate @KevinSpacey ‘s weird video. No. Just No.’

Her sister Rosanna joined in as she added: ‘Kevin spacey has apparently lost his mind what an absurd video..this is only the beginning. There are many more victims.. Epstein’s island ..anyone?

‘What people don’t get is …that the truth will rise to the top. All Lying Bad guys may finish last ,but they’re finished.’

Charmed actress Alyssa Milano slammed the video – which was viewed 4.5million times in 25 hours – as ‘creepy’, while Animal Kingdom star Ellen Barkin said: ‘Kevin Spacey is sending a very disturbing message as he chastises his audience.

‘If you hypocrites loved me as a murderer, why won’t you love me as a sex offender? Maybe because Frank Underwood’s crimes are fiction and Kevin Spacey’s are not. #LostInSpacey’

In the uneasy clip, Spacey continued: ‘Of course, some believed everything and have been waiting with bated breath to hear me confess it all, they’re just dying to have me declare that everything said is true and that I got what I deserved. Wouldn’t that be easy, if it was all so simple?

‘But you wouldn’t rush to judgments without facts would you? Did you?’

He also tellingly said: ‘I can promise you this: if I didn’t pay the price for the things we both know I did do, I’m certainly not going to pay the price for the things I didn’t do.’

Addressing the previous accusations, which were made last October, Spacey released a statement explaining that he did not remember the alleged encounter but ‘if I did behave then as he describes, I owe him the sincerest apology for what would have been deeply inappropriate drunken behaviour’.

This news comes after it was reported that Spacey would not be prosecuted for an allegation of sexual assault dating back to 1992.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department investigated a claim that Spacey committed forcible sodomy in October of 1992, which came to light after he was fired by Netflix over the sexual misconduct allegations.
