It was believed that Amber, 22, was supposed to fly to Ireland to see her beau tonight.
However, according to The Sun, Greg, 24, has dumped Amber by text, blaming their busy schedules.
No, Greg, how could you commit the cardinal sin?
A source told the publication: ‘Amber feels used by Greg. He was always aware of the distance and his career in their relationship, and yet he chose to seek out Amber in the villa knowing there would always be the distance.
‘He hasn’t made any effort to come to London to see Amber, despite it being over five weeks, it’s always Amber who had to make the effort.’
They added that Amber was ‘devastated’ by the savage dumping, although she had a ‘feeling’ he was going to end things.
But, we must stress – BY TEXT?!
Amber’s last post about the Irish lad came four days ago when she wrote: ‘My babes // Squinty squinterson Miss ya’, although Greg last posted an Instagram picture of his boo on 18 August when they had their Irish getaway.
Amber and Greg were the surprise winners of the fifth series of Love Island after being coupled up for just a few weeks, and shared the £50,000 prize.
Rugby player Greg was a late arrival and a welcome distraction for Amber, who had been pied by Michael Griffiths when he chose to recouple with Joanna Chimonides in the Casa Amor twist.
However, the pair faced issues with their relationship from the get-go as Amber lives in Newcastle, while Greg is based in Limerick.
The winners haven’t been seen much together as a result, although they did share updates on their romance to social media.
Just two weeks ago, Amber had visited Ireland, with the couple going sightseeing at the Cliffs of Moher.
This split gives Amber and Greg the dubious honour of being the fastest winning couple to break up.
Series one champions Jess Hayes and Max Morley only managed six weeks, while series three winners Amber Davies and Kem Cetinay lasted six months.
Series four lovers Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham broke up for good nine months after they won the grand prize.
However, series two winners Cara Delahoyde and Nathan Massey tied the knot this year, and are welcomed son Freddie in December 2017.
So not all love is dead. Only most of it.
Chris Taylor and Harley Brash were the first 2019 couple to call it quits, ending things after two weeks, while just yesterday, it was claimed that Anton Danyluk and Belle Hassan have also parted ways after five weeks.
However, things are going strong with Curtis Pritchard and Maura Higgins, and India Reynolds and Ovie Soko – while Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague have even bought a flat together.
Metro.co.uk has contacted Amber’s rep for comment.
